My Story
As a child, he has imagined his life as a black and white picture, needed to be coloured in. He has established a motto to challenge himself, endure his activity and progressively fill the picture with colour. By pure serendipity, he has received the chance to participate in an international math Olympiad in Malaysia. He was left in a dilemma to stay behind and don’t bother with such complexity or to enrich his collage with new paint. Aforementioned, he could not miss such an opportunity and has began to prepare in earnest. This event allowed him to be acquainted with the skill of leaving the comfort zone, tackling challenging decisions and collaborating with people.
Today, he still maintains such skills; however instead of the picture symbol, he utilises the concept of 5 buckets, an idea introduced by Steve Bartlet, where a person has 5 buckets to fill with knowledge, skills, opportunities, resources and reputation. As the Head of the Greyhound Business club in his school, having 89 members, he has successfully managed events and coordinated activities in cooperation with his peers, enhancing organisational skills and communication. In collaboration with others, they have achieved guest speakers coming in, an array of lectures touching on modern problems and an open space where pupils can create their own products and learn how to develop them. On a regular basis, the team receives ambushes like opinion recession, lack of attendance, competition with other clubs and the scarcity of time and resources. Whilst acquainting the weight of responsibility, he has mastered a skill which guides him to this day: Persistence. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. This habit he truly adhere so in his day to day practice, something that he will carry with him into the future.
As described initially, he always strive for opportunities which allow him to nurture his character and evolve his skills. His diverse experiences in leadership, organisation, financial analysis and resilience under pressure have equipped him with the arsenal of skills necessary to strive in the future; however, instead of seeking opportunities, he wants to initiate them. The foundation of management provides freedom of choice and resources which would allow him to explore different perspectives and, indeed, create more opportunities.
