LI
Lucas Li is a 15 year old high school student who likes listening to music, playing sports, and understanding the magic of fashion. He was born in Hong Kong and partially raised in GuangZhou, China in a family of 5 with himself, mom, dad, older sister, and little brother.
My Story
When asked about a memorable experience, he recalls the first time speaking in a company’s year meeting in front of a lot of people. This taught him to not be afraid of other’s opinions and to be steadfast to your beliefs and research. It also showed him that one person’s voice may not necessarily register alignment with those of others at first, and it does take time to build consensus particularly in a team setting.
When it comes to his leadership activities, Lucas has decided to dedicate his time across a variety of initiatives to further explore his interests. He has joined the school basketball team for his own personal interest in sports and basketball, deciding to improve his skills and team work within this basketball team. In order for him to gain some real world perspectives, he also joined the community outreach team, which was crucial for him to talk to many people and help the community in his own way while getting to know many different people. Lastly, he has chosen to engage with the Business and Investment club due to his passion in the world of business and investments. When it comes to music, Lucas has achieved ABRSM Grade 8 for piano. He has played the piano since he was 6 years old and decided to continue because he finds playing pieces he sees on the internet to be very fulfilling. He has noticed that he has the ability to try for the ABRSM Grade 8 test and completed it with the certificate.
Looking ahead, Lucas aims to secure a place at a Top 30 University in the World and spend time creating his own brand related to fashion and sports while traveling.
