WEI

Ever wondered how sports can drive social change? With over eight years of soccer experience and a passion for economics, Robert Wei is committed to making a global impact through sports and business.

My Story

Robert is an adventurous and motivated student, deeply curious about current events, sports business, economics, data science, and environmental issues. At his school, Robert excels academically and engages in a variety of extracurricular activities, including Model UN, Science Olympiad, Sports Analytics, and Environmental and Sustainability. These experiences have shaped his analytical and leadership skills, fueling his desire to make a positive impact on society.

Robert has been a passionate soccer player and a big soccer fan since first grade. Over the past few years, he realized that soccer is more than just a sport; it’s a powerful tool for social change.

Inspired by the Homeless World Cup which he encountered in the news first and followed up with more research, Robert envisions using soccer and other sports to uplift underprivileged youth. He has been a volunteer at the Special Olympics since his middle school years. He aims to blend his interests in global events, economics, and sports business to create programs that address the challenges faced by marginalized communities. Robert believes that understanding these fields can enhance his ability to develop sustainable and impactful initiatives.

Robert's future goals include studying economics and business at a top university, with a focus on sports analytics and/or environmental economics. He aspires to work with international organizations or consulting firms to address global challenges and promote social equity through sports and sustainable solutions.
